"With Bains, what I find with him is that I think the playoffs last year, the final two rounds, that's the player he can be. He's a very gifted passer, very gifted playmaker and when he's able to use his speed, when he started to play confident and he attacks that center of the ice where he's able to make plays in tight. He's not going to be a huge goal scorer, we've seen that in the AHL, but is he in a position to get inside and also make those plays in tight, be an excellent passer. That's why, if he's able to bring that to the NHL level, maybe not as consistently because it is a tougher league, I think he's got an inside track on showing that 'hey, i can improve year-to-year.' Janda said about Bains.
When discussing Linus Karlsson, he added, "The other player is Linus Karlsson, a big player, can play a heavier game, a sticky game, not necessarily a belter by any stretch in the imagination. He's not going to drill you with hits, but he's intelligent. He knows where his bread is buttered in this league and that's in front of the net. In the AHL, what we saw with him when Arsh was that, Arsh was hitting him with some unbelievable passes, but you need to get to that area and Linus is very good at that. So, I think those are the two guys that are really at the top two for me."
