Multiple members of the Vancouver Canucks will see changes to their waiver eligibility starting now, which could lead to some difficult decisions in training camp in mid-September.
We're a little over two months away from the start of training camp for the Vancouver Canucks, which is set to be held in Penticton, British Columbia starting on Thursday, September 18th.
There are going to be some interesting battles to watch throughout training camp this fall, especially with some spots open in Vancouver's bottom-six and there are a number of prospects who look like they're ready to make the jump to the National Hockey League on a full-time basis.
However for some of those players who lose out on an opening night roster spot, they'll have to be placed on waivers in order to be assigned to the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks and there's a good chance that a couple of the names that are now eligible waiver wire might not clear and could end up with another team.
Multiple Vancouver Canucks now eligible for NHL's waiver wire
According to Canucks News Summaries, Vancouver Canucks forwards Arshdeep Bains, Aatu Raty, Linus Karlsson, along with top goaltending prospect Arturs Silovs are now eligible for the National Hockey League's waiver wire.
Additionally, defenseman Victor Mancini and forward Max Sasson will become eligible for waivers during the 2025-26 season if they play 31 and 29 games, respectively, in the National Hockey League.

Unless the Vancouver Canucks make some moves between now and opening night, with the club reportedly shopping Dakota Joshua and Teddy Blueger, it seems pretty unlikely that there will be room for all three of Arshdeep Bains, Aatu Raty and Linus Karlsson on the NHL roster.
Bains, Raty and Karlsson all had solid seasons in the American Hockey League last season, registering 43, 40 and 39 points, respectively, and there's no doubt given their low salaries, that someone would take a chance on them if they were to be placed on the waiver wire.
It's going to be interesting to see how it all plays out in training camp in a couple of months and if any of the four aforementioned players land on the waiver wire before the start of the regular season.
