MAJOR | Excellent news for the Golden Knights ahead of their matchup with the Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks opened up their three-game road trip on Sunday night with a 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks. This week, they'll face Los Angeles and Vegas, before returning home to take on Winnipeg on Saturday.
As the Canucks take on the Golden Knights on Thursday, Vegas is set to get a massive boost to their lineup as there's a good chance
Jack Eichel will return from injury after undergoing what the team called 'lower-body surgery' back in January.
"sounds like Vegas will have Eichel back for Thursday vs #Canucks" Jeff Peterson said.
Eichel, 27, was leading the Vegas Golden Knights in points at the time of his injury and since he's been out, the team has a record of 9-8-2 in 19 games and getting him back will certainly help them at an important time in the season as they battle for home ice advantage in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
In 42 games this season, the North Chelmsford, Massachusetts native has 44 points (19 goals, 25 assists), ten penalty minutes and is a minus-one.
Before the Canucks take on the Golden Knights, they'll battle the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet Pacific.
