BREAKING | Allvin announces a new signing
Patrik Allvin has just made an official announcement through the team's Twitter account.
Christian Wolanin was awarded a two-year, two-way contract extension. He's been a true example of perseverance and determination since he joined the Canucks' organization.
« Christian has been a key contributor at both the AHL and NHL level this season. He has developed nicely under the watchful eye of our Abbotsford coaching staff and player development team. This has allowed him to step into his current role in the NHL and show that he can help our team get results."
Wolanin has been in the big leagues ever since the OEL injury was announced and has not looked back since.
He's been dominant at the AHL level and he delivered when the team called him up to Vancouver. Through 15 games in the NHL he managed 3 asssists and while he was down in Abbotsford, he managed 55 points in 49 games. He still leads the AHL in points amongst defensemen even though he hasn't played down there for quite a while now.
