BREAKING | Canucks to announce a player signing and update on one of the top players in Abbotsford
With July 1st just around the corner, we're expecting to hear lots of extensions and new signings as the Canucks will try and retain most of their guys' services.
Rick Dhaliwal broke the news that the Canucks had signed the veteran Forward John Stevens to a 2-year AHL deal:
''Hearing the #Canucks have signed veteran F John Stevens in Abbotsford, 2 year AHL deal.
Still no deal for 23-year-old UFA and Fort St. John BC native Tristen Nielsen, who had 41 points this season.'' The 29-year-old was the author of 19 points in 43 games this season, and he'll be starting his 5th season in the Canucks' organization.
Dhaliwal also gave an update regarding the St. John BC native Tristan Nielsen, who really broke out last season, registering 41 points in 64 games. The forward is still without a deal. After a season like the one he managed, it's only fair to assume that he'll be signing a 2-way NHL deal.
