HOT: Demko calls out the officiating at WJC doesn't think Canada should've won
The World Juniors ended late last night after the Canadians triumphed for a second time in the last 6 months. Though it's the semi-finals that caused the most chatter.
As many of you already know, the Canucks all-star goaltender Thatcher Demko, is American-born. He was definitely watching the semis when his nation faced the Canadians. Demko being loyal to his country, was obliterated when the goal was cancelled. If you want the goals that we're Controversy at WJC when 2 Americans goals are disallowed.
Demko took his anger to Instagram where he stated:
»Worst call I've seen in a long time»
Demko represented his country back in 2015, he then allowed 7 goals in 4 outings and posted an impressive .938 SV%. This season's been tough on the Canucks and himself, he's currently posting a 3-10-2 record and a .883 SV%, definitely below the standards he set for himself with the performances he put up last season.
