Patrik Allvin made a huge move when he signed the former Wild 1st Round Pick, Filip Johansson. The right-handed Swede has had quite the breaking-out season within his team in the SHL.

Playing for Frolunda HC in Sweden's top league, the defenseman increased his offensive production to team-leading (amongst defensemen) 21 points in 51 games. He kept it going during the playoffs producing nothing less than 5 points in 12 games including this beauty of a pass in their final game of the season:
Things are now getting interesting for the 23-year-old since his team was eliminated, he'll be eligible to join the Abbotsford Canucks in their chase for the Calder Cup.
The Minnesota Wild had selected Johansson with the 24th selection, they, however, did not retain his services and Allvin jumped on the occasion. Many reports on the defenseman stipulated that he'd be causing a surprise when he'd be coming to training camp next September.
