The Vancouver Canucks may have found the perfect one-for-one trade option involving free agent forward Kiefer Sherwood, who is expected to be moved by March 6th.

After making several players on their roster available for trade last week, Vancouver Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood appears to be drawing the most interest of anyone and that doesn't come as too much of a surprise given his play this season.
With 12 goals in 27 games, which currently has him in first on the team, several teams are trying to get their hands on Kiefer Sherwood including the Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Islanders and the Boston Bruins, the latter of whom have reportedly called Patrik Allvin in inquire about what it'll cost to bring in the 30-year-old winger.
"They have 100 percent called on both players. They want scoring and believe that with some more, this team can definitely stay in the race and make some noise." A source said to James Murphy of RG.org.

"I was told the Islanders, Sabres, and Red Wings also expressed interest in Sherwood, too." Another source informed Murphy."

NHL insider David Pagnotta reported last week that other teams that would love to bring in Kiefer Sherwood include the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild and the Montreal Canadiens, all of whom could use a bit more grit in their respective lineups.
"Teams that would love to get their hands on a guy like Kiefer Sherwood, Colorado, Dallas, Minnesota; New Jersey would love to be able add a big piece; the Canadiens; there's no shortage of suitors." Pagnotta said.

While it might be considered a long shot, during Wednesday's edition of Donnie & Dhali, Rick Dhaliwal wondered if the Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens could work out a trade featuring Kiefer Sherwood and 22-year-old forward Zachary Bolduc.
"Five to seven teams are well positioned to take a run at Sherwood and give the Canucks what they want, which is a young player as opposed to a futures deal. Wouldn't surprise me if two teams are showing more than passing interest in Sherwood, they're Minnesota and Montreal. Canucks scouting the Montreal/Ottawa game last night, could they be trying to get a young player like Zack Bolduc. Things can change real quick with one phone call, but one team told me this morning they think the Canucks are slow playing things a little with Sherwood to get the best deal they can. They don't seem to be in a rush right now." Dhaliwal said.
Zack Bolduc would be a solid addition to the Vancouver Canucks' lineup, as would Kiefer Sherwood in Montreal, but it seems very unlikely that a young team like the Canadiens would go out and move on from Zachary Bolduc just five months after they acquired him from the St. Louis Blues.
That being said, the Canadiens have plenty of others young options that the Vancouver Canucks could target in a potential deal including 21-year-old centerman Owen Beck, who has ten points in 20 games for the AHL's Laval Rocket this season.
