LATEST | Canucks make an announcement regarding Elias Pettersson
In light of their building blue program the Canucks highlighted a second prospect. It was first Jonathan Lekkerimaki, but today they've presented another prospect out of the 2022 Draft, Elias Pettersson (alias: D-Pettey).
The Canucks picked the Swede defenseman with the 80th pick and since then he's only shown massive improvements in his game. Made out of a big frame, the 6'03'' and almost 200 pounds left-handed defenseman is well known for his physicality and his versatile two-way game.
Mikael Samuelson, important voice of the Canucks development, narrated the prospect's presentation:
"He's very, very physical and he knocks people off their feet."
In our second edition of Building Blue, we look at the development of our 80th pick from last year's #NHLDraft, defenceman Elias Pettersson.''
The Canucks inked the defenseman to a 3-year ELC a few months earlier during the seasons. However, he'll continue his development in Sweden with Obrero HK of the SHL along with Jonathan Lekkerimaki and possibly one of the best prospects available this year, Leo Carlsson.
