LATEST | Elias Pettersson confirms great news
Elias Pettersson ends the season on a positive note as he scored nothing less than 102 points. The Canucks weren't able to fully replicate Pettersson's success which led to the team being out of the playoff race.
It appears that Pettey is not yet ready to end his season since he confirmed his presence at the Annual World Championship representing Sweden. Rick Dhaliwal confirmed his intentions earlier today:
''Elias Pettersson has said yes to play for Sweden at the worlds but there are insurance issues that have to be worked out first before he can play.''
This will be Pettey's second presence at the World Cup, but his 6th playing for his country as he also participated in the Junior events in the U17, U18, and U20 (2). The Canucks' superstar will renew with a former coach of his, Sam Hallam. He'll have the opportunity to show his worth in meaningful games where the stakes are high.
For those of you who still haven't seen enough of Elias Pettersson this year, the event will be co-hosted in Tampere, Finland, and Riga, Latvia from May 12th to 28th 2023.
