LATEST | Major update on former Canuck Ethan Bear's UFA status
Former Canucks defenceman Ethan Bear has been ramping up his training in Kelowna, BC as he readies himself for another shot with an NHL club.
Reporter Rick Dhaliwhal provided an update on his status:
One week ago I thought the Canucks were the front runners to sign him, I don't get that feeling anymore..
As Bear prepares for eventual NHL action, «4-5 teams» have their radar on the speedy defender.
Bear, 26, scored 16 points on 3 goals and 13 assists through 61 games with Vancouver last season and remains unsigned.
Bear is viewed as the «easy fix» for the Canucks. It'll be interesting to see how Allvin plays his card moving forward.
