LATEST | NHL announces maximum fine for Ryan Hartman's dirty slash on Jets' forward
The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has announced a fine for Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman.
Hartman has been fined $4,427.08 for high-sticking Winnipeg Jets forward Cole Perfetti during a game on December 31st, which the Wild lost by a score of 3-2.
"Minnesota's Ryan Hartman has been fined $4,427.08, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for high-sticking Winnipeg's Cole Perfetti."
During the game on Saturday, Hartman was lined up at the faceoff dot with Perfetti when his stick comes up and clips the Jets forward in the face. Surprisingly, there was no penalty called on the play.
This isn't the first time this season that Hartman has faced dicisipline from the National Hockey League. In late November, he was suspended for two games for a trip on Detroit's Alex DeBrincat.
After playing back-to-back games on December 30th and 31st, the Jets and Wild won't face each other again until February 20th.
