The Madison Square Garden is a renowned arena in the sports world. Not only are they the Rangers' home, but they also home to the Knicks, New York's NBA team. These three entities are all own by the infamous businessman James Dolan.

Dolan is well-known for his abilities to make waves and this time he aims high with the New York State Liquor Authority. In a recent piece published in the NBC New York, the businessman is currently considering the idea of banning alcohol sales for the next event set to be hosted at the MSG in response to the increased pressure over his company's use of facial recognition software by the government at MSG.
Dolan banned a team of lawyers that are suing his company, which definitely altered their ongoing investigation.
"Dolan said of the situation : The SLA is way, way beyond their skis... they're being extremely aggressive and they're saying 'We're going to take away your liquor license.' So I have a little surprise for them. What we're gonna do, right, is we're going to pick a night, maybe a Rangers game, and we're gonna shut down all the liquor and alcohol in the building."

The team owner believes the local government is trying to bully him into compliance via the press and different dealings. He's pretty confident that the Madison Square Garden will still be packed, even if they ban alcohol from this historical site. He then added :
"They would post flyers at stations where beer is normally sold that feature a picture of State Liquor Authority CEO Sharif Kabir, which will include his email and phone number, and he would instruct fans to 'tell [Kabir] to stick to his knitting and to do what he's supposed to be doing."

Alchohol as been a part of sports entertainment since forever, would you still go to games if they were to ban alcochol in the arenas?
