Foote has won the Stanley Cup in the past, but he's also played with his fair share of hockey legends. When he asked about what surprised him the most about the defenseman, Foote made an intriguing comparison and compared the Canucks' young leader to no other than Raymond Bourque:
To this day, Foote is still impressed with what Hughes brings to the table daily. Foote listed Hughes not only as a great and capable leader but someone who has the complete package and really digs into new information:
Hughes will surely feel flattered by the comparison, Raymond Bourque is a 22-year NHL veteran, who managed 1579 points in 1612 games. Bourque has won close to every possible trophy in the NHL, if Hughes were to have even a portion of his success he'd be in route to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
