MAJOR | John Tortorella openly exposes the league's worst medical staff
The Canucks medical team has been under lots of questioning after the treatment of Tanner Pearson, Thatcher Demko, and Tucker Poolman has been reviewed.
However, an intriguing statement from one of the most vocal head coach in the league has caused a lot of reactions. John Tortorella voiced his opinion on the regard after his team missed major pieces all season. The Flyers played without one of the league's top two-way centerman Sean Couturier, Ryan Ellis, and Cam Atkinson. Three players whose absence can surely change the outcome of the season. Here's how Tortorella made his declaration:
''I did not realize it when I took the job on how long some of the medical problems were being handled. It's been going on for years here. I am not criticizing any person here, but it has been a mess''
Sean Couturier and Ryan Ellis have played a combined 33 games over the last two seasons (164 games). Losing the team's top centerman and probably it's number-one defenseman surely doesn't help.
Tortorella is league-wide known to not being scared of voicing his issues and today again he delivered.
