MAJOR | NHL issues statement regarding Connor Bedard and the League's award show
The NHL's top players are gathered in Nashville, tonight, in lieu of the NHL Award show and the upcoming draft. The top prospects have also been in town ahead of the league's draft that'll start on Wednesday.
Connor Bedard was attending the award show and was even given the Award of excellence as the league confirmed via an official post through their Twitter Account:
''Connor Bedard is the winner of the E.J. McGuire Award of Excellence! 👏 #NHLAwards
The E.J. McGuire Award of Excellence is awarded to a candidate who best exemplifies commitment to excellence through strength of character, competitiveness, and athleticism.''
Bedard has been a dominant force all season, from the blast of a season he managed in Regina to the outstanding performance he displayed at the World Juniors. He's shown on multiple occasions that he's ready for the next step.
