MAJOR | The Norris Trophy results are in: Quinn Hughes disrespected big time
The Canucks selected the small-format defenseman Quinn Hughes with the 7th overall pick in 2018; since then, he's been nothing short of exciting and is now in the grasp of stardom.
Erik Karlsson scored over 100 points this season, and as a defenseman, it truly isn't something that goes unnoticed. Quinn Hughes has been exceptional on every side of the puck for the Canucks, and the Norris Trophy voting just goes to show how much people aren't paying attention to his performances.
Hughes collected 76 points in only 78 games and managed a +15 differential in a team that was in the League's lower tier for goals against. Here is what the voting looked like:
Hughes finished tied to Josh Morrissey at 2nd with 76 points. This truly shows just how much the Canucks aren't getting the respect they should in the league. With the culture, Rick Tocchet is setting in Vancouver. Hopefully, this is bound to change in the next years with the rise of Demko, Hughes and Pettersson as some of the league's top players.
