Sooner rather than later the Canucks will be making their move on team captain Bo Horvat. With the new staff entering, it makes no sense for them to hold on to him any longer if they're not going to re-sign him. Yet, he's still around.

Rick Dhaliwal believes that the Canucks are still hoping to send one last offer to the Horvat camp. He's certain that the Canucks will have to choose between Horvat or Kuzmenko due to cap issues and right now an offer have been made to Kuzmenko.

"It's a big week for Bo Horvat and I'll tell you why. I believe the Canucks are still looking for ways to keep Horvat, as tough as that may be. Maybe let him spend some time with Tocchet and see if that changes anything."

It's known that Pat Morris, Horvat's agent (not sure it matters, but he pointed out that Morris also represents Connor Bedard), will be in town for the top prospect game held tomorrow in Kamloops, BC.

As of yesterday, a meeting between the two clans has not yet been set nor have the Canucks given permission to Horvat's agent to start reaching out to teams for a possible extension.

Dhaliwal stated that Detroit and Boston were teams to keep an eye on if the Canucks move on Horvat. He believes the Canucks should look at Brando Carlo, we know Fabian Lysell is their top prospect. If they were to match Carlo, Lysell, and their 1st round pick, could Boston acquire Horvat?

He confirms that Morris and the Canucks' representative have talked over the weekend, perhaps they have not yet said their last word.
