Rigged Draft lottery? Bedard's next destination would already be known because of Bettman
An enormous statement was made regarding the possible franchise-changing draft that is set to happen this summer and it will not please everyone. Especially not Connor Bedard who is, up to this day, foreseen as the number-one pick in the next draft.
Though we personally do not believe that the process is rigged, but a major statement coming from Spitting Chiclets has been gathering interest in all the media's surrounding the Hockey world. Especially with Connor Bedard's most recent record-breaking performance at the WJC.
Before really going into the news breaking statement, they stated just how good he was compared to the greats that have come before him:
"He shoots the puck like Matthews, he sees the game like Crosby and he's so dynamic. [...] It's going to be a lottery that will change the course of an NHL franchise's history."
With reviews like this one, you know they think really highly of the 17-year-old phenom. Though the following statement is the one gathering the most attention:
' After what happened with the Chicago Blackhawks (with all the controversies), they won't get the first overall pick. Forget it. And I believe that when the vote is official, and when Tempe (in Arizona) decides to build an arena (for the Coyotes), knowing that Arizona is Gary Bettman's baby, Connor Bedard will be a Coyotes player next season.
They never won the lottery, they never drafted first overall, and they will have a new arena... Connor Bedard is going to Arizona and it's going to be incredible for this city and for this franchise. He's going to Arizona"
We know how reliable Paul Bissonette is, but still, he stated afterward that he had spoken to Bettman about it and that he knew Bedard was meant to go to Arizona.
Do you think the whole process is rigged and Bedard should go apartment hunting in Arizona straight away?
