The Vancouver Canucks are the most injured team in the NHL, on the bright side Patrick Allvin was recently asked on the health of Filip Chytil after suffering his 5th concussion.
"While speaking with reporters after practice on Friday, Head Coach Adam Foote revealed that while Filip Chytil is still not working out or on the ice, the Kromeriz, Czech native is getting better and has been "in and out" of Vancouver since suffering his injury 20 days ago."-Jaxon
Encouraging update on Filip Chytil.
Adam Kierszenblat on X posted Patrick Allvin's response to the comments made by head coach Adam Foote, who stated that Chytil was in and out of Vancouver during his recovery. But according to Allvin he has been in Vancouver the whole time, and is now skating.
Asked #Canucks Patrik Allvin about Chytil's recovery. Recently, Foote said Chytil has been "in and out" when asked if Chytil was in Vancouver. Here was Allvin's answer:
Although it's encouraging he is skating, fans were quick to express their concern for Chytil. This is now his fifth concussion, it's injury that keeps getting worse the more it happens, and the long term effects can be detrimental to Chytil's quality of life after hockey. It's not an easy conversation to have a but a necessary one for Chytil.
There's still not a return date for Filip Chytil's return to the Canucks lineup, because when dealing with a concussion, one day he could be feeling fine and the next he could be dealing with some of the lingering symptoms such as headaches, blurred vision, etc.
Given Filip Chytil's history with concussions , the Canucks and their medical team really need to be cautious here, and it looks like they're doing exactly that.
