Trade chatter picking up on Boeser and a surprising team showed interest
The Vancouver Canucks authorized Brock Boeser's agent, earlier this season, to talk to other teams in order to facilitate trade. That's not new.
Though following this news, it appeared that trade was going to unfold quite fast and since then nothing has moved and the talks have been quite slow. It's already been a month.
According to insiders, the most recent reports indicate that trade chatter has picked up on Brock Boeser and that the Philadelphia Flyers had been heavily involved to see where this was headed. The report came from the 4th period, and it could make a lot of sense.
The Flyers will be sellers when comes the deadline, though they could potentially aim to reproduce what Montreal did with Sean Monahan. Boeser would immediately have a lot of responsibilities with the Flyers and perhaps a change of scenery is all he needs. They could then sell him to the highest bidder if he gains his confidence back.
Do the Canucks desperately need this cap space and must make a move? Could they try and make it work with Boeser once the new coach comes in?
