We now know who steps in the leading role Ekman-Larsson left open
It was announced earlier today that the $8.25M defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson was going to be a healthy scratch and it's been confirmed as the warm up is underway and OEL is nowhere to be found. The one remaining question is, who fills his alternate role? Well, this one's been answered as well.
Pictures of the warmup in Tampa Bay have revealed that Elias Pettersson would be wearing the A for tonight's game and perhaps for now on?
The Swede has been a true force for the Canucks for the last year, he has no less than 48 points in 38 games since the season started and was juste named to the All-Star game. The mediatic trend even suggests that Pettersson will inherit the Captain's position when or if Horvat is dealt.
What's the fans standpoint on this one? Should Elias Pettersson be taking his steps in a leadership role as he's meant to be the team's future?
