The Canucks couldn't manage a second straight win as the Predators' defence and goaltending held their own facing the team's top guns. The Canucks will be going to Nashville with a tied series, hoping they can secure another lead in game 3 and 4.

During game 2, the Canucks fired nothing less than 86 times towards Juuse Saros' net. They only touched the net on 18 occasions, scoring once. While the Predators blocked a very elevated number of shots, the Canucks did miss the number on too many occasions and it eventually cost the game.

Elias Pettersson's performance wasn't up to his standard during game one, the majority believed that he'd step his game up a notch with Thatcher Demko's absence. It was quite the contrary, Pettersson made lots of mistakes and missed wide open net opportunities.

Everybody saw that Pettersson wasn't playing up to his standard, even he knew that the opportunity he had missed were costly to the team. The TSN Analyst, Farhan Lalji, highlighted a particular part of Pettersson's game that he didn't like and called him out for it.

Petey was obviously frustrated by the way thing had been playing out, following the wide open net he missed at the end of the second. The long stare he gave at the ceiling gave away his frustration and Lalji thought that he should be better at hiding it:

As bad as the miss was for Petey was the body language after. Happened earlier in the period too. Can't imagine how frustrated he is right now. Needs to show it less. Did well to draw the penalty. If ever a guy needed a goal #Canucks
