Don Cherry, a former fixture every Saturday night on Hockey Night in Canada's Coach's Corner program, is seemingly ready to officially put his media career to be.
The now 91 year old is a polarizing figure for the hockey community, primarily for comments he made in 2019 that led to his firing, that he has since doubled down on.

Nearly four years after his removal from Hockey Night in Canada by Sportsnet, Don Cherry began hosting 'The Grapevine Podcast' with his son, Tim.
On Monday afternoon, in what was the 313th episode of the podcast, Cherry said the time had come to sign off for good.

Tim Cherry said the podcast had received 6.5 million downloads over the course of its history.
While [Tim] Cherry clarified that the signoff was meant to be an end of season good-bye and not an official farewell, he confirmed that the expectation is that there will be no future episodes.
For close to 40 years, Don Cherry was a mainstay on Hockey Night In Canada, and was a household name in Canada.
His time as the marquee face of the program ended in controversy however, as Cherry was let go by Sportsnet for comments that many interpreted as insensitive and targeted towards newcomers to Canada.
A native of Kingston, Ontario, Cherry turned 91 this past February and has been a part of the professional hockey world for roughly 70 years.
