NHL issues a statement on Brock Boeser
It wasn't even a year that just about everybody was ready to give up on the Canucks' 2015 1st Round Pick Brock Boeser. It's fair to say that today, not only is everyone happy to see that he finally broke through, but it also puts to bed the talks about Boeser being overrated or overpaid.
Against the Golden Knights, Brock Boeser walked the wall and set himself up for a high-danger scoring chance. One he capitalized on, one that marked his 40th goal of the season:
With his 40th of the season, Boeser reached a plateau that only ten forwards have managed to get in franchise history and only 3 in the last 20 years.
The @Canucks have a new 40-goal scorer and his name is Brock Boeser.
He became the 10th different player in franchise history to reach the mark in a season.
After everything Boeser went through, it feels good to see him live up to the potential he was meant for. With a goal and an assist, Brock counts 40 goals (career-high) and 33 assists, totalling 73 points (career-high).
