NHL issues a statement regarding Thatcher Demko
It's been a season to remember for the Canucks, for the coaching staff, and indeed for the players. Demko is setting himself up among those with career highs as one of the league's very best.
While many people blamed the netminder's consistency for the team's lack of success in 2022-2023, it turns out that American netminder Thatcher Demko does know how to take his team to the next level.
Before he was sidelined with an injury early in March, the Canucks' star goaltender led the NHL with his five shutouts and remained tied as the goalie with the third-best save percentage. Now, everybody's taking notice of his performances, and his name has been heavily linked to the Vezina Trophy given to the NHL's best goaltender every year:

Demko will be looking to prove more as the team is headed to the playoffs. The meeting with the Nashville Predators and former teammates Luke Schenn and Anthony Beauvilier has been set, Demko will be looking to prove that he belongs to the league's elite between the pipes.
Can he take the Canucks to the next level? Demko excelled during the NHL's bubble playoffs in 2020, will he be as good with fans in the standings, or will he be even better?
