It's not a question anymore, the Canucks are getting ready to buy as we get closer to the deadline. After inking a three year extension, the team's President Jim Rutherford gave his thoughts on the upcoming deadline, the group of players they had and how they planned on spending their assets moving forward.

CANUCKS GOING ALL THE WAY?
The belief on the organization as of right now is that the belief of going all the way is quite strong. Allvin and Rutherford have repeatedly stated that they thought they were only a few pieces away from a true contender and Rutherford's most recent interview confirmed it.

On Canucks Central, the President stated that moving the team's first round pick was something they'd consider if it meant acquiring an impact player. He also added that they'd be open to moving good prospects depending on the deal:

"Not many players on roster we would want to change. If we're getting an impact player we would have to consider moving our 1st round pick...we may have to move a good prospect in certain deals."

While this is a clear indication that the 1st Rounder is on the table, it doesn't look like they'll be moving away from their elite Swedes in Jonathan Lekkerimaki, Tom Willander and Elias Pettersson (D-Pettey). Perhaps Hunter Brzustewicz could be in play? The team have also been playing Linus Karlsson as of late, are they showcasing him in hopes of upping his trade value?
