With two of their main players' contract coming to an end, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be centering lots of trade chatters and extension rumors. They've been known as a team who isn't scared to spend may have to change their stratégie moving forward.
William Nylander has been steadily improving into one of the game's top winger and he's got 167 points over his last two seasons (163 games) to show for it. Currently on what could be called a ‘team-friendly' deal with a $6.962M Cap hit, he is due a substantial raise. Here's what was reported earlier today on the subject:
Nylander holds a 10 team no-trade clause to his contract and the forward was asked to formally submit his lists. Perhaps they've already made their choice, the season hasn't even started and the Leafs are already over the cap after a few free agency signings (Bertuzzi, Domi, Klingberg), perhaps their next move is moving Nylander?
