The Anaheim Ducks are set to head to arbitration on Wednesday with 25-year-old forward Troy Terry and on Monday, both sides submitted their figures, which showed that they are very far apart.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Anaheim Ducks have filed at $4.5 million USD, while Troy Terry and his camp have come in at $8 million USD.
This happens with a lot with these arbitration hearings. The team will come in with a really low number, undervaluing what the player is worth, while the player and his camp will have a number that may be overvaluing what they're actually worth.
In Terry's case, he's put up back-to-back 60+ point seasons and while he took a step back in the goal scoring department from the 37 he put up during the 2021-22 season, he's more than capable of consistently recording 25+ goals a year.
