The Calgary Flames are coming off a big 6-3 win in the Battle of Alberta on Saturday night and did so without former Vancouver Canucks forward Andrei Kuzmenko.

Kuzmenko missed Saturday's game against the Edmonton Oilers due to illness, but he was on the ice for practice on Monday morning, however, it appears that he may be back on the sidelines for Calgary's next game.

According to Derek Wills of Sportsnet 690 radio, Kuzmenko was the odd man out at practice and could be scratched on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Kings.

"Andrei Kuzmenko appears to be the odd man out at #Flames practice. Probably tough to make changes following a big win in the Battle of Alberta on Saturday."

Kuzmenko, 28, is no stranger to being in the press box after he was a healthy scratch on multiple occasions this season in Vancouver prior to being traded to the Calgary Flames.

The Yakutsk, Russia native has played well for the Calgary Flames since being acquired late January. In eight games, he's put up four points (three goals, one assist), two penalty minutes and is a minus-two.
