BREAKING | The Canucks' pick is in
The Canucks were taking the stage with the 11th selection. Connor Bedard was a consensus first overall pick, the Ducks caused a surprise when they chose the Swede Leo Carlsson over Adam Fantilli and Matvei Michkov.
The Canucks had been linked and targeting loads of prospect and they ended up selecting Tom Willander. The team had been heavily linked to Dmitri Simashev and Nate Danielson who both ended up going earlier.
With Zach Benson still on the board, hopefully it doesn't turn into a Matthew Tkachuk / Olli Juolevi situation.
Willander will be lining up with Boston University next year rather then playing in Sweden's professional levels.
