While he's been rumoured to be available since the beginning of the season, Vancouver has yet to find a new landing spot for Conor Garland.

According to Eklund from HockeyBuzz.com, the Pittsburgh Penguins are very interested in the winger.
On Wednesday, Eklund reported that he's hearing the Penguins and Sharks are discussing a multi-player deal.
"All I know at this point; the Penguins REALLY like Conor Garland. Both teams could use some help on the D-end, which I admit makes them appear to be odd trade partners.."

Eklund said he was supposed to get clarity on what the Canucks would want by mid-afternoon, but has yet to follow up with more information.
Neither team has any wiggle room under the salary cap, so any trade made would have to be dollar in-dollar out.
It's been reported that Garland and his agent have been granted permission by the Canucks to seek out a buyer for the winger and his nearly $5 million cap hit, but on Tuesday's TSN Insider Trading Darren Dreger noted that Garland may be less inclined to move on from the red hot Canucks as they seek a defenceman.
"That's why Conor Garland's name is more or less been out there. But because of the great start in Vancouver, I think Garland is less motivated to move from the Vancouver Canucks."

Garland being less motivated to move out of Vancouver surely helps Allvin. The Canucks are now less desperate to find a new home for him which can only help his trade value.
