Every Sunday for the past few weeks, the NHL Network has released lists highlighting the top-20 players at each position and this week, it was the best defenceman that were being featured.

The top-three spots on the NHL Network's list went to Cale Makar, Adam Fox and Miro Heiskanen, respectively, which is probably the right the call. Rounding out the top-five was Victor Hedman of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Roman Josi of the Nashville Predators.

For Vancouver Canucks defenceman Quinn Hughes, he landed in a pretty big spot on the list, being named the 10th best blueliner in the National Hockey League. But is it too low when compared to some of the names ahead of him?

Right ahead of Hughes in 9th place is Alex Pietrangelo of the Vegas Golden Knights, who's coming off his second Stanley Cup championship. Erik Karlsson, the reigning Norris Trophy winner and 100+ point scorer is in 8th, Rasmus Dahlin of the Buffalo Sabres is in 7th and Charlie McAvoy of the Boston Bruins is in 6th.

It's hard to say where Hughes should truly be on this list. Every defenceman named is worthy of a spot in the top-20 and the fact that he landed in the top-10 is pretty noteworthy to say the least.

You could make individual arguments about where he could be or if he should be ahead of Pietrangelo or Karlsson or Dahlin, etc. But where do you think Quinn Hughes should rank on the NHL Network's list? We'd love to hear your feedback, so let us know in the poll below!
