As the Canucks look to make improvements to their roster ahead of the March 8 trade deadline, a few names have been appearing in rumours.

Among roster players, pending UFA Tyler Myers and 23 year old Nils Hoglander have been frequently mentioned.

Insider Rick Dhaliwal says however, the Canucks aren't interested in moving either player.

Myers specifically, who plays over 19 minutes a game, is someone the team is reluctant to move despite his $6 million cap hit.

I was told the Canucks are not looking to move him... they like this player, I don't think there's any internal belief that we want to move a Myers,
Dhaliwal said.

Dhaliwal says the Canucks will move players they don't want to if the right deal comes along but aren't shopping players like Myers and Hoglander, the latter of whom he expects to be a key piece next season with so many UFAs on the roster.

The team has just over $1.2 million available to add players ahead of the deadline.
