Fans of the Vancouver Canucks have begun issuing apologies to the team's captain, Quinn Hughes, amid ongoing trade rumors and speculation that he'll be moved soon.
Frustration is mounting in Vancouver as the Canucks appear well on their way to missing out on the Stanley Cup Playoffs in back-to-back season and rumors suggest captain Quinn Hughes could be on his way out of town in the lead up to the trade deadline in early March.
"We know the usual suspects. We'll continue to hear more teams, I'm sure, as this progressed, but the latest two that I have are the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals." David Pagnotta reported on Thursday.
He added, "I keep being told that Quinn Hughes and his agent hold all the cards in this at the end of the day, which depending on who you talk to, some believe that's the case, others say it's the Canucks because they have full control."

Ever since trade rumors started coming out involving Quinn Hughes, Vancouver Canucks fans noticed a change in his body language on the ice and were frustrated with what they were seeing, but it looks like some of those supporters have changed their tone and are pleading with the team's captain to stay with the club.
Fans of Vancouver Canucks begin issuing apologies to captain Quinn Hughes
Earlier this week, Quinn Hughes announced on social media that he was entering into a partnership with a local jeweler in Vancouver - Palladio Jewellers - and in the comments of his Instagram post, some Vancouver Canucks fans began apologizing to him about the current situation surrounding those aforementioned trade rumors and his future in the Lower Mainland.
"Quinn I am really sorry you have to play for this organization. I love you forever - from a Canucks fan," one fan said.
Another fan commented, "We gonna miss you bro. Sorry our franchise failed you."
"We love you here in Vancouver. Sorry you have to play for this ownership." Another Canucks fan said.

While it's not a foregone conclusion that the Vancouver Canucks will be trading Quinn Hughes, it certainly seems like it's trending that way, either before the deadline in March or in the offseason, so it's certainly understandable why some of the team's fans are feeling this way about the overall situation surrounding the captain's future.
