Canucks officially announce a roster move
The Abbotsford Canucks have announced a roster move fresh off their Round 1 series win over the Colorado Eagles.
The team is calling up defenceman Chad Nychuk from the Kalamazoo Wings, who were knocked out of the ECHL playoffs two days ago.
The 23 year old defenceman split time between the ECHL and AHL this season, posting 2 goals and an assist in 13 games with Abbotsford and 12 points in 24 games with the Wings.
Abbotsford has plenty of options on the blueline, so Nychuk may have a hard time getting into the lineup, but the Canucks are happy to add whatever depth they can to their lineup.
The AHL Canucks kick off their playoffs against Ontario on Wednesday, May 1.
