The Vancouver Canucks drama isn't going away anytime soon and a recent report regarding Bo Horvat and J.T. Miller is going to add more fuel to the fire.

Tomorrow, January 30th, will mark the two year anniversary of the Vancouver Canucks trading captain Bo Horvat to the New York Islanders and to this day, that is still causing problems for the organization.

Report says Vancouver Canucks regret signing J.T. Miller over Bo Horvat

Just before training camp in the 2022, the Vancouver Canucks re-signed J.T. Miller to a seven-year contract and with their salary cap situation, it eventually led the club to trade Bo Horvat to the New York Islanders for a package that included Aatu Raty.
During an appearance on Halford and Brough a couple weeks ago, Rick Dhaliwal shared that there were members of the Vancouver Canucks organization that wanted to re-sign Bo Horvat over J.T. Miller.
Dhaliwal said that if the Canucks did sign Bo Horvat, it would've eliminated any issues they had in the dressing room and there's a chance there wouldn't have been a feud between Miller and Elias Pettersson.
"There were people in the organization that wanted to sign Horvat over Miller but the decision was made to sign Miller. If you signed Bo at the time, the dressing room issues would have been eliminated." Dhaliwal said.

Shortly after being acquired by New York, the Islanders signed Bo Horvat to a massive eight-year extension worth $8 million per season.
That was a contract the Vancouver Canucks couldn't afford, although just five months after the trade, Patrik Allvin bought out the contract of Oliver Ekman-Larsson to create more cap space for the club heading into the summer.
It's never easy to create cap space in the middle of a season and instead of potentially losing him for nothing, it makes sense that the Canucks traded Bo Horvat, but looking back now, it's understandable to see the regret in some organization members that wanted him signed over J.T. Miller.
