An insider has given a big update on the Philadelphia Flyers being a potential landing spot for Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes, if he's traded by the club.

The Vancouver Canucks are continuing to navigate their difficult season thus far and with the club currently second-last in the NHL's overall standings with a record of 11-15-3, it appears that some changes could be on the horizon for Adam Foote's group.
Trade rumors continue to swirl in Vancouver as the Canucks have made all of their pending unrestricted free agents available for trade, but one player who is drawing plenty of interest right now is captain Quinn Hughes, who is a little over 18 months away from becoming a UFA himself.
"Once Vancouver announced they were open for business, sent that email around to the league, I do believe there was a conversation, at least one, between the New Jersey Devils and Canucks about Quinn Hughes and I stress, I do not believe there is anything imminent, I don't even know that they're anywhere far along. But I do believe that conversation was had about where things stand and where they might be going." Elliotte Friedman reported regarding New Jersey's interest in Quinn Hughes.

As the weeks go by, more and more teams will likely inquire with Patrik Allvin about what it'll cost to acquire Quinn Hughes and it appears that one New Jersey's rivals are hoping to enter the mix.

Insider gives big update on Philadelphia Flyers' potential interest in Quinn Hughes

In a recent article for Daily Faceoff, Anthony Di Marco revealed that after speaking with sources, the Philadelphia Flyers would be interested in trading for Quinn Hughes, if the Vancouver Canucks were to make him available.
Di Marco added that the Flyers aren't too worried about not being able to sign him to a contract extension if they were to acquire him and there's belief that the club would be able to flip him before he becomes a free agent in July 2027.
"Speaking with Flyers sources, I'm told the team would trade for Hughes this season, even with the risk of there not being an extension in place beyond 2027. The reason is simple: the Flyers believe that they can flip him." Di Marco said.
While the New Jersey Devils would probably offer a better package to Patrik Allvin in trade talks for Quinn Hughes, the Philadelphia Flyers have some decent pieces of their own that the Canucks would almost certainly be interested in including forwards Jett Luchenko and Denver Barkey along with defenseman Emil Andrae.
Patrik Allvin is going to have a big decision to make very soon regarding Quinn Hughes, but it's starting to feel like the possibility of a trade ocurring this season is growing by the day.
