Injury issues are continuing to pile up for Adam Foote and the Vancouver Canucks, with another key player forced to leave last night's game against the New York Rangers.
The start of the 2025-26 season has been tough for the Vancouver Canucks in the injury department with the club having seven players on their NHL roster on the sidelines entering action on Tuesday, including captain
Quinn Hughes,
who is dealing with a lower-body issue according to Head Coach Adam Foote.
On Tuesday night, the Canucks welcomed
J.T. Miller back to Vancouver as they hosted the New York Rangers at Rogers Arena, who would go on to win the contest by a score of 2-0, while Adam Foote's group lost yet another player to injury.

During the first period of last night's game, Vancouver Canucks forward was on the receiving end of an open ice hit from New York Rangers forward
Sam Carrick, the latter of whom had to drop the mitts with
Marcus Pettersson a few seconds later.
"#NYR Sam Carrick drops the gloves after a hit on #Canucks Garland."
Garland did suit up for the second period, but didn't come back to the bench following the second intermission, according to Sportsnet 650's Brendan Batchelor.
"
Conor Garland has yet to play in the 3rd period. Didn't come out after the intermission. #Canucks lines in the blender as a result" Batchelor said.
Just after the puck dropped for the third period, the Vancouver Canucks confirmed on social media that Conor Garland would not be returning to the game, but didn't give any details regarding his potential injury, whether it be upper or lower-body, etc.
"Forward Conor Garland will not return to tonight's game." the Canucks said on X.
When meeting with reporters following the team's loss last night, Adam Foote didn't have an update regarding Conor Garland, saying that he was being evaluated by the team's training staff and for now, is day-to-day.
No update on Garland post-game from Foote.
"They're evaluating him right now." Foote said according to Daily Hive's Rob Williams.
The Canucks will be back in action on Thursday night when they begin a three-game road trip in St. Louis against
Pius Suter and Blues, with puck drop set for just after 5 p.m. PT on Sportsnet Pacific.
