Details have emerged about potentially what piece the Boston Bruins may want from Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks in a deal involving centerman Pavel Zacha.

The Vancouver Canucks' search for center help has been going on for months now, but with an injury to Filip Chytil back on October 19th against the Washington Capitals, the need to add one has been amplified.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin has been weighing his options, but one name the club continues to be linked to is Pavel Zacha of the Boston Bruins, with Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman giving a big update on that front during Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday.
"Pavel Zacha and Vancouver. My buddy Rick Dhaliwal reported that the Canucks had contacted the Bruins this week about Zacha. That's true and I think that's been going on for quite some time. I think it's all the way going back to the summer. The Canucks and Bruins have been on and off about this. You know, Zacha's not in the last year of his deal, he has another year. Teams are looking for centers, Boston doesn't have to do here it doesn't want to do. But this has kind of been a dance that the Canucks and some other teams seeing if they can pry Zacha out of there." Friedman said.

He added, "One thing about Vancouver though in this case, I do not believe they are on Zacha's no-trade list."

Details emerge about what piece the Boston Bruins may want from Vancouver Canucks in Pavel Zacha trade

In a recent article for RG.org, James Murphy revealed that the Boston Bruins are standing pat with Pavel Zacha right now amid interest from teams around the National Hockey League, including the Vancouver Canucks.
One source told Murphy that if the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks were to get deeper in talks, a player that General Manager Don Sweeney could potentially ask Patrik Allvin for in a Pavel Zacha trade is 23-year-old defenseman Victor Mancini.
"According to this source, if things do continue to go south for the Boston Bruins, one player on the Vancouver Canucks roster that the Bruins could ask about, if they haven't already, is 23-year-old, 6-foot-3, 229-pound defenseman Victor Mancini." Murphy said.

It's clear that the Boston Bruins value Pavel Zacha highly, as they should, he's a solid player when he's on his game and would be a perfect fit for the second line center role in Vancouver, but with Patrik Allvin reportedly not wanting to part with the team's 2026 first round pick, he's probably going to have to include a younger player/prospect in any deal with the Bruins, such as the aforementioned Victor Mancini.
