Elias Lindholm has officially left Vancouver

The Canucks knew what they were getting into when they pulled a blockbuster transaction to fetch the centerman Elias Lindholm out of Calgary.
As it turns out, they got precisely what they asked for, but with the season coming to an end a little early, Lindholm may not be in Vancouver for as long as the Canucks' management could've hoped for. Lindholm is headed for free agency, and, as it turns out, he's already packing his bags.
His wife posted pictures Through her Instagram account confirming they'd be departing Vancouver.
A fan asked why they couldn't stay in Vancouver, and her wife kindly responded by explaining the reality of an NHL player's life and their contractual situation:
Hopefully, this isn't a permanent goodbye. Even though he is taken off, it doesn't mean he won't be back in Vancouver when training camp starts.
At this point, it's evident that Elias Lindholm will be in an NHL locker when the 2024-2025 season kicks off. His strong playoff performance not only guaranteed that, but they also guaranteed a significant raise to his current cap hit.
Whether or not the Canucks will have what it takes to bring him back remains a mystery. Hopefully, he enjoyed his time with the Canucks to consider coming back.
