Elias Pettersson Reportedly "Out for Revenge" & What That Means for the Vancouver Canucks in 2025-26

Elias Pettersson is bigger and stronger as he prepares for the 2025-26 season with the Vancouver Canucks, and he's ready to prove to everyone that last season was a one off.
2024-25 was the worst season of Elias Pettersson's career by far, and while other Canucks know they also need to be better, the team will go nowhere without a bounceback season from EP40.
Elias Pettersson out for blood in 2025-26
Elias Pettersson is back in hockey mode, this week attending Sweden's 2026 Olympic Orientation.
The 26 year old says he knows that last season wasn't good enough, but he knows what he's capable of and he's looking to bring it this season.
I haven't thought about it, but for myself it's revenge. I'm not happy with last season.
Pettersson says he is 'hungry' for a good season with the Canucks, and having been healthy this offseason has managed to have a productive summer while learning from last year's tough lessons.
He's trying to take those lessons with him to take on a bigger leadership role with the team.
I'm trying to lead by example. But I know that I can become a better leader, in that aspect. I'm trying my best, but also trying to get better.
Pettersson is happy to see the moves made by Vancouver this summer, hanging on to long time Canuck Brock Boeser and bringing Vancouver native Evander Kane in for offensive help.
Without turning things around the way he believes he can though, none of it will mean much.
