New forward Filip Chytil delivers major message to the Vancouver Canucks and their fan base about his health status for the upcoming season in an exclusive interview that is giving many hope he will return to full strength when the 2025-26 season commences.

As a result of the highly publicized drama between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson that led to the Vancouver Canucks being forced to trade one of the stars, they ultimately decided that letting go of Miller was the best choice.
In a trade with the New York Rangers, Vancouver received 25-year-old center Filip Chytil, who never really blossomed while in the big apple.
In a new opportunity with Vancouver, he quickly showed that all he needed was a new environment to showcase his offensive prowess, but that came to end when he suffered a season ending and career threating concussion.
A concussion is an injury that is not visible to you at first glance. For example, if you have a broken arm, everyone can see it right away and everyone knows what to do. Head injuries are tricky. That's why communication with those closest to you is very important. You can't be afraid to confide in them so that those closest to you know how you're feeling. The support from my family, from my wife and friends, has helped me a lot.»

Since his injury, it was unclear if Chytil would ever get back to full-form, but that has all changed with the recent update he gave the Canucks and fan base.
In an interview with Pavel Mandát of Hokej.cz, the 25-year-old center spoke about the mid-season blockbuster trade that sent him from the New York Rangers to the Vancouver Canucks and the whirlwind few days that followed, his health, the coming season and how he's adjusting to life on a new team and in a new city.

Are you 100% healthy today?
«Fortunately yes, knock on wood. I've been getting ready for the new season full-time since the beginning of May.»

With the Canucks at a major deficit when it comes to the talent they have down the middle and the fact that they still can't find any UFA or trad partners to solve it, having Chytil back to 100% is a blessing and takes the pressure of Allvin a ton.
