Former Vancouver Canucks Forward Inks Multi-Year Deal After Being Claimed Off Waivers
A former Vancouver Canucks forward & first round pick of the San Jose Sharks has inked a multi-year deal overseas after he was claimed off waivers earlier this week.
While it may have been a slow and quiet offseason here in North America, there has been quite a bit of action surrounding former members of the Vancouver Canucks, whether it be heading to Europe for the first time in their career,
like Daniel Sprong, or finding a new club abroad for the 2025-26 season.
The KHL will be home to a number of former Vancouver Canucks this coming season, which begins in less than two weeks, and for one of them, after finding a new home on Monday, they've managed to land a multi-year contract with one of the biggest clubs in Russia.

Despite already having a contract in place for the 2025-26 campaign, it appears that Goldobin and SKA St. Petersburg have worked out a new deal, with the club announcing on Saturday that they've agreed to terms on a three-year contract that'll run through the 2027-28 season.

The former Canucks forward is likely to feature in a preseason game or two with the club over the next week, but will officially make his SKA St. Petersburg debut during their 2025-26 season opener on Saturday, September 6th against the Shanghai Dragons.
