Another Canadian team has entered the race to sign free agent forward Jack Roslovic after the Vancouver Canucks reportedly aren't too interest in him anymore.

It looks like the Vancouver Canucks search for a second line centerman will carry into the month of September and potentially beyond following a report from Thomas Drance of The Athletic recently that said the team's interest in UFA forward Jack Roslovic has cooled off significantly, with Allvin & co. looking elsewhere to address their need down the middle.
"At this point, from what I can gather from senior club sources informed about the organization's thinking on the matter, the Canucks have cooled significantly on the prospect of adding Roslovic as an unrestricted free agent at this point. Vancouver is still in the market to land a centre, but the trade market is viewed as a more likely and realistic route of addressing the club's greatest remaining need." Drance said.

The Canucks' interest in Jack Roslovic goes back to mid-July when Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie & Dhali shared that the two sides held discussions about a contract, but weeks later, nothing has materialized and it looks like a fellow Canadian club is pondering the possibility of bringing in the two-time 20+ goal scorer.

Insider says Canadian team reportedly interested in signing Jack Roslovic

During a recent edition of the 32 Thoughts podcast, Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman spoke about some of the remaining free agents that are still unsigned and when it comes to Jack Roslovic, an Eastern Conference contender is interested.
According to Elliotte Friedman, he believes that the Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the teams that are interested in signing Jack Roslovic this offseason, adding that he was teammates with Auston Matthews at the US National Team Development Program over a decade ago, which could mean there's a chance the two have chemistry.
"One guy I think the Leafs are in on is Jack Roslovic. And it makes sense to me because he has a history with Auston Matthews. They played together at the U.S. National Development Team. I can see the connection." Friedman said.

Roslovic, 28, is reportedly seeking a multi-year deal with an annual salary around $3 million USD and with the Toronto Maple Leafs only having a tad over $1.9 million in available cap space, General Manager Brad Treliving is going to need to move out some money in order to bring in the Columbus, Ohio native.
