The Canucks are being led through the playoffs by a gritty, two-way forward who generates a lot of offence in JT Miller - and fans are seeing shades of a former Canuck.
Miller is drawing comparisons to former Canuck Ryan Kesler for his fiery and competitive play that he blends with a high skill level.
Ryan Kesler himself said on Vancouver radio that he sees a lot of himself in Miller's play style, and the Canucks star said he was honoured by the comparison.
That's pretty cool to hear that. [Kesler] is a player I admired when coming into the League.
While some fans have mixed feelings about Kesler, his skill and intensity helped them through some deep playoff runs, and so far, Miller is filling that role.
The Canucks' number has undoubtedly been the team's top player since the 2024 Series began. With a team-leading 6 points in the first games, Miller will be looking to elevate his game to the next level, where the Canucks will be playing the Edmonton Oilers.
