The Vancouver Canucks have several pending free agents on their roster, and while the team is currently focused on making a deep run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this spring, it's never too early to take a look at the future and what may lie ahead.
During his most recent 32 Thoughts article on Thursday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman shared that the Vancouver Canucks would like to hang on to forwards Teddy Blueger and Dakota Joshua, as well as veteran defenceman Tyler Myers.
Friedman added that when it comes to Myers, they'd like to bring him back at a lower cap hit than his current one of USD 6 million.
"I believe the Canucks would like to keep Teddy Blueger, Dakota Joshua and Tyler Myers (at a lower number). Might not be possible, but it's been discussed." Friedman said.
Along with Blueger, Joshua and Myers, there's no doubt that the Canucks and Patrik Allvin have other names they'd like to re-sign, including Russian defenceman Nikita Zadorov and restricted free agent defenceman Filip Hronek.
Allvin will also need to figure out his backup goaltending situation this summer as Casey DeSmith is set to hit the open market on July 1st, while Arturs Silovs will become a restricted free agent.
Of the three names listed by Elliotte Friedman - Teddy Blueger, Dakota Joshua and Tyler Myers - who do you think has the best chance at re-signing? Let us know your thoughts in the poll below.
