The Canucks were right back at it after they took the Flames on a joy ride Saturday. The team prevailed and managed a 4-2 win against their long-time rivals.

Tocchet had Conor Garland on Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander's right, which paid off. The Swedes, mixed with the number 8's energy, were too much for the Flames to handle; Hoglander, Pettersson and Garland all combined for 6 points. However, Tocchet was as happy with the remainder of the group.

The team's head coach wasn't as pleased with the remainder of the group's performance. Per Tocchet's view, the Pettersson line got the team going, but there were too many passengers:

«I'm a moment-to-moment, game-to-game guy We grinded out the win but didn't have our best stuff. How do we learn from that for the next game against LA?" "

The Canucks have now begun their preparation for a much more significant challenge, as they'll be hitting the ice with the Los Angeles Kings on Monday. Depending on how things play out from here until the end of the season, the Kings could be the Canucks' meeting in either the first or the second round of the playoffs.
