Leon Draisaitl had a harsh message for the Vancouver Canucks and the rest of the NHL after the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Canucks in dominant fashion.

From start to finish it seemed the Oilers were the better team and the Canucks had. no answer for the problems the Oilers gave them
"Standing between Vancouver and a two-game winning streak was Connor McDavid and the two-time defending Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers and if it wasn't for the stellar play of Thatcher Demko, last night's result might have been a lot worse than it actually was."-Jaxon

Oilers dominate Canucks and Leon Draisaitl won't let them forget it.

Liam McCormick over at the Oilers Daily reported on the Oilers performance and the Draisaitl interview following the dominant win.
"[Demko] was obviously the difference for a large chunk there. I thought we were the better team. Played really well, had our legs, all four lines going, different guys chipping in. We're going to be a hard team to beat when we consistently find a way to play like that."-Draisaitl

Draisaitl is 100% right, if it weren't for Demko the Canucks would have gotten fully blown out, instead it was just a 3-1 loss for the Canucks. The Canucks were outshot 37-15 and it didn't look good at all for Vancouver out there.
"Not only were the Oilers superstars completely owning the ice in their minutes, Draisaitl was right to point out that their effort was continued by the depth of the lineup. All 4 lines handedly won their minutes against the Canucks, and there was some meaningful offence chipped in from Noah Philp. Adam Henrique's line with newcomers Tomasek and Howard had a great night."-McCormick

While the Edmonton Oilers are going to be a top 5 team this year most likely, and many have them as Stanley Cup favourites, the Canucks need to put up a better performance than what they showed if they want any chance at making the playoffs.
