As the Vancouver Canucks look to keep their captain Quinn Hughes around for the long-term, a blockbuster trade is proposed to address what a transaction would like in order to get his brothers Luke and Jack Hughes over from the New Jersey Devils.
As the team sits at home watching the 4 remaining teams compete for the Stanley Cup, Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin's "season" is just getting started as the summer will be a long process filled with big decision in order to not allow the 2024-2025 season to repeat.
Although trades and acquisitions are going to be a major part of the offseason, the looming risk of losing captain Quinn Hughes when his contract expires in the 2027 season hangs in the background, and the organization is going to have to find a way to entice him to stay.
